Santorini (Thira) International Airport is an airport in Santorini/Thira, Greece (IATA: JTR,ICAO: LGSR), located north of the village of Kamari. The airport serves both as a military and as a civil airport. With its relatively small apron, the airport is only able to serve up to 6 civilian planes at the same time. The tower (freq. 118.05) also serves as approach / departure, up to FL170.
Santorini International Airport is located in the east of island, and the north of Kamari. It is only 3 miles away from the city centre. It is easily accessible by some transportation choices like buses, taxis, and shuttles.
Santorini Airport has a small passenger terminal with approximately 500 passengers per hour. The terminal has basic facilities, including a café, a restaurant, and a duty-free shop. The airport also provides public services such as meteorology and ground handling. There are two aircraft parking positions for B737-sized planes and a 2000m2 parking space for light aircraft.
